M0DULATOR offers a distinctive series of micro sound environments tailored for iPhone and iPad users. This work represents a profound exploration of feedback loops and the tactile nature of sound, revealing the complexity of auditory experiences. Drawing on the previous releases by Andrew Blanton on iTunes, M0DULATOR functions as both an artistic endeavor and a system that investigates the physicality of sound through real-time signal processing.

In a manner reminiscent of Alvin Lucier's 1981 piece, 'I Am Sitting in a Room,' which magnified the resonances inherent in its recording environment, M0DULATOR similarly amplifies incoming audio from the microphone, processing it live to produce rich sonic textures.

The versatility of M0DULATOR invites users to delve into an expansive realm of sound art and experimental audio. It can be integrated into larger sound systems via stereo connections, enabling the creation of expansive sound chambers. Additionally, multiple devices running M0DULATOR can interact dynamically with each other, while the various sensors within the device serve as control parameters for the signal processing, further enhancing the auditory exploration.
